Re: World Cup Tix
you had to register like four months before, and wait for the lottery system to go into your favor.
Was expensive, but priceless.

Re: World Cup Tix
Can you guys believe that if qualifying ended today, Portugal wouldn't make the world cup...
i want the United States or Italy to win the World Cup, but I gotta think Spain will actually win

I'm partially with mr Fish. Holland always a good bet, i would semi's at least, providing the key players stay fit Huntelaar, Van Bronckhorst etc

Re: World Cup Tix
Good pick Mike. Spain is obviously dominant...i would pick them along with the Dutch boys to make the final.
Re: World Cup Tix
I personally think Spain are overrated, they have some great indivdual players, but on the big stage i think they will falter. There are i think at least 10 teams in with a great chance, dependant on who they draw. Could be anyone of these i think:-
Brazil
Argentina
Holland
Germany
Spain
Italy
France
England (highly unlikely but who know we could get easy draws!)
Physical strong teams i think will work better, although Spain have uber skill, i would put money on them coming undone against physical teams, so many to choose from, i'll still say Brazil or Holland with the possible dark horse of Germany.

Re: World Cup Tix
Hm. It's tough to say because some teams aren't doing well right now who you'd think would be pretty dominant. I'm not going to outright write my top ten, but I've got pretty high expectations for the US. They're lacking in a few areas that would put them into the top 5 maybe, but I'd sneak them into the top 10. Maybe it's because I'm American, but my favorite explanation is I've seen more of them than any other team and know what they are capable of.
So much depends on the draw though.
I also think two or three African teams will make the quarters, maybe choose from Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt...

Re: World Cup Tix
I know plenty about African teams since I was Cameroon in FM09 hahaha...there are so really really good teams. Those for countries you just mentioned have very solid teams. How far can they get in the World Cup? I'm not sure, but they are certainly capable of doing some damage and shaking things up.
