Be interesting for sure, losing some players at summer, be nice to see who Sam buys though, he has admitted if we lost Cruz in Jan he was going for crouch, good move imo, Ooijer, Tugay and Mokoena are all definately gone, hopefully Santa will go too, Warnock may be hard to keep hold of though

It was nice knowing you Burnley...your stay in the Prem will be short lived. Be prepared to go back to the Championship come next summer!

Burnley the next Hull? Hmmm... their results in the Carling Cup suggest they could cause a few upsets.

The fact that Burnley are in the premiership proves that in football anything can happen. Look at what happened to (a) Alladyce at Newcastle and (b) to Newcastle.

Blackburn Rovers have no more right to premiershp football than anyone else. We are there on merit, because football is all about winning, and we won enough to be there.

Go commiserate, Bob and Lancashirelass, with Reading and Sheffield Wednesday, if you don't fancy a local derby with the Clarets. What strikes me is what a great Roy-of-the-Rovers story Burnley's promotion has been.

You guys might want to show as much good grace about it as your MP, Jack Straw. He had a terrible time outside the Turf when B*st*rd Rovers played us back in the FA cup, 2003 or 4 wasn't it? Andy Cooke's foul on one of your players a game before that was terrible. Nonetheless, Jack Straw on his blog welcomed us to the Premiership.

Style and class are something Labour appears to be lacking. True of some BRFC and BFC fans too I fear. Jack Straw has bucked that trend. Up the Clarets and may Rovers do the best they can with what they've got.

No wrong!! I have been waiting for Burnley to come up for a proper local derby! Burnley should have been up before tbh, they had a great team when Lafferty was there.

Could be tight derby's depends on who does what in transfer window i guess, both rovers and burnley are probably on a slim budget so should be good.

Just for the record i think Burnley will stay up.

Hope Burnley do stay up, Rovers are Bob. Lots of Rovers fans on 'ere. Makes a change from Deadwood, then eh? Razz

Seriously you don't expect us to be nice to each other do you? Who burnt down yer stand in '83? Burnley have lots of nutcases (for whom I apologize), but yes I think they'll be some good natured banter and a few idiots who don't know when to stop (sorry about that). bounce

I remember when I thought well of Rovers. Must have been for about three weeks in Zimbabwe in 1992 when all I could get was the Premiership review show on ZBC. I have forgiven myself for that mistake. Exciting though now 40% of the Prem is made up of teams from the home of football: the north-west. Add a few Scots and you have the roots of world football. Respect to Rovers fans who can give it as well as take it. king

Best wishes, Mazvita.

Oh, and last point: Lafferty was/is a cheating nutcase! Going head to head with people he seems to fall down mysteriously. Only appropriate for a Burnley player against a local rival. Say Blagburn Wovers!!!
