Goodbye Liverpool. 4-4 at the final whistle. Chelsea v Barcelona in the Champions League semifinals!

Looks like a trophy-less season for the Scousers.

I wonder what the result would have been with Gerrard in the lineup

Drogba scored?
When did that happen? i certainly didn't see it, a blatent own goal maybe. Second time in two years the tie has turned on an own goal.

Let me just take this time also to say how much i hate drogba, blatently faking an injury in stoppage time just to waste a few precious seconds- he's a true role model! Bravo

What an effort we put in though, no one gave us a chance going in to the match and to score 4 goals at Chelsea is unbelievable. Should win the league from here.

Come on Porto!

I COMPLETELY agree with everything you said here, Andy (minus what I struck out). Drogba is an embarrassment.

I agree that he is an embarrassment, but he did put in a great performance today. He was a part of the first 3 Chelski goals, and he has been great since his return.

On that note, i hope Barca crush Chelski and Drogba to move onto the Champs League Final!! haha

Oh chelsea don't have a chance, and i mean that. With their defence and Barca's attack they be humiliated (hopefully).

Come on Porto! Haha Smile

I wasn't a great performance in my eyes, and tbh the amount of fouls we gave away today its hardly surprisingly that Chelsea managed to get one free kick in the net.

Now onto tomorrow. Both matches should be fantastic. Arsenal should move on relatively easy given that they are home, but Villarreal are no slouches.

Porto/United is by far the most intriguing matchup. I'm not saying this just because i am a united fan. Fergie will have his team ready to go tomorrow, and porto will be ready to make their supporters go crazy! it is going to be awesome, and i hope united can pull it off!

I want porto to win just because i love to see United lose, but i think and in some ways hope United win. Pool now are fully focused on the league whereas United would be fighting on 3 fronts, could only be good for Pool.

Agreed! If Chelsea move onto the final I will be awfully upset. After watching Barca for the last few months, it will be an absolute disappointment if they don't walk away as champions of the world. My hopes of course are that Manchester United find a way to make it to the final and thwart their efforts, but only time will tell.

1-0 United and 1-0 Arsenal at half, both leads coming off early goals...let's see how the 2nd half plays out!!

Both semi-finals are delicately poised then. Neither Chelsea or Arsenal could pick up an away goal which must give the advantage to Barca and Man U. Not to mention Man Utd's 1 - 0 lead from the first tie. They have come right back to form lately, but so have Arsenal. Man Utd should have won handily at Old Trafford but didn't - something we almost never see from them.
In the other tie, Barca come off a 6 - 2 thrashing away to Real Madrid, admittedly, Real are no Chelsea, but their form looks ominous. Will chelsea be allowed by their crowd to 'park the bus' as they did in the first leg? An attacking chelsea will surely advantage Barca though. Chelsea are weak at the back as shown by Liverpool and Bolton in recent matches - not to mention how shakey Czech looks.

Predictions? I'd love to see Arsenal against Barcelona in the final. Will that happen? Probably not. I expect the Arsenal - Man U match to be tight, either 2 - 1 or 1 - 1. Man U should go through. I do expect Barca to go through though, the margin will depend on whether the attacking or the defensive Chelsea turn up.

Such a disappointing game. Not that I was particularly rooting for either team, but Arsenal just didn't show up to play. One early goal against the grain of play and they never looked threatening again.

Hopefully Barca wins tomorrow.

I don't think it matters who wins the Barca match, whoever gets to the final i don't think there will be a clear favourite on the night.

Wowwww. What a game. And what a matchup in the final. When Iniesta scored I freaked out (in a good way). Unbelievable. The ref had a horrible game. The saves Valdez made....incredible. Drogba choked. Messi was as neutralized in this game as he was a week ago. Great game for Hiddink. Horrible way for Chelsea to go out when they deserved at least one penalty, but I don't think the sending off was deserved either. I'll remember this game for a long time, especially in contrast to last year's defeat to Man Utd.

The sending off was shocking! How the ref fell for that i have no idea. They prob should have had one pen for the first handball yes. Drogba had a pretty shocking game all round
