I don't know about the rest of you, but I am really looking forward to this match. It may be a friendly, but it is being reported that there will be 500 police officers on duty at the stadium.

So how friendly will it really be?

Thoughts?

Nothing like a few angry fans to start trouble over a game that doesn't even matter.

Should be interesting to see how much time players will get who are in title races and looking for time off (and there are a LOT of them in this one). That might take the edge out of the game.

More likely he'll come off the bench for a 90th minute winner if Del Bosque has learned anything from the BRILLIANT Rafa Benitez. Very Happy

I'm really looking forward to this, will be good to see how some of the new boys do for England, i'm personally quite excited by Gabby and Emile up front, Rooney being out and Owen being permanetly injured is making Fabio have to look for better options, i think when Gabby plays to his full potential he is unstoppable, Heskey aint the best goal scorer but he is big and strong, can hold a lot of balls up for Gabby etc Head says Spain Heart says England......

I say Spain only because of watching them extensively during Euro 2008. I haven't see England play as much, so this will be an awesome match to watch!!

Spain are awesome for sure, England are generally gutsy, i'm feeling very good about this team thats going out at the moment, i really hope Ashley young gets in more too, he is getting better and better with time and he's still very young!! Shows what a good job O'Neill is doing though with Barry,Young,Gabby,Emile and Luke Young was in before injury, half the England team is Villa!! lol

Any thoughts now that it's done? I watched about a half hour of this game including the 2nd goal. Looks like Capello got a lot of guys playing time, but disappointingly no Ashley Young (I'm looking at the scoresheet, I believe that is correct). And for the period that I watched, from about 50 to 85 minutes, England did not look especially sharp. I didn't see as much movement off the ball in England as I did in Spain, and they generally just looked flat. Decent second goal and good service, but England should have defended it better.

Spain were class for sure, England weren't bad but they were far from great, they seemed to be always back to the walls for me, the players who shone for England though were the players people complained about, Even though he wasn't on for long i have to say Carlton Cole looked really sharp and a shame his shot was cleared off the line, Beckham played some lovely balls, looks to me like AC Milan is helping him with the football and from an England point of view i hope he gets his stay there, Ashley Cole was pretty good 1st half played some really cutting balls, James almost made a howler in the 1st half, Green looked solid 2nd half, Heskey was good 1st half winning so many balls and holding play up, looked immensely strong, the defenders were struggling with his strength for sure, Lampard came on 2nd half, didn't really see anything from him, Agbonlahor had a poor match but not from want of trying, he was working his socks off but when the balls weren't coming to him there wasn't much he could do. Still overall they weren't great but they weren't as poor as they have been either
