I'm not a devout follower of the NHL, but I'm sure there are plenty of more avid hockey followers out there. Have your say here. Who do you think will hoist the Stanley Cup. I say the Bruins, but I'm also from Boston haha, so have your say here about anything regarding the world of hockey!

If I recall correctly, Blackburnbob is a bit of an NHL fan.

I'm going with the Bruins. They've got a deep team. Most importantly they have a great coaching staff with a system that is built for winning a Cup. The key for them is to stay healthy. The trade deadline is approaching and they could be in the market for a wing, especially since they got cap relief for the Sturm injury.

I am a fan, but keeping up with it is practically impossible here, no channels show it, i love the game though, if i could watch it every week i would, it's such a cracking game, my favourite by a mile of US sports. I softly support NY Rangers, as i say though don't really get to see as much as i would like.

Mike Green, a Washington Capitals defensemen scored a goal in his 8th straight game!! That is so hard to do for a forward let alone a defensemen. I give him a lot of credit, especially with Alexander Ovechkin raking in all of the goals for the Caps.

Rumors have it that there will be more than one Winter Classic for next season. By "Winter Classic," i mean outdoor game. They are now saying that there will be games at Fenway Park and the new Yankee Stadium, but there are plenty of other locations vying for one of those spots.

i don't follow hockey too much, but i think the winter classic is a fantastic idea, and i look forward to watching it every season since they have started. they really do a great job of setting it up and making it a great experience for the players and fans alike.

thoughts?

Hockey is awesome to watch, it's a nightmare to view here though, i need to find a regular stream somewhere and get back on this, we used to get it on a really poor channel at like 4am in the morning so i was never awake to watch it. Shame they don't do it now, i could sky+ it! lol

I think i'm going to have to start watching the bruins though, that was the first team shirt i saw, on the film Happy Gilmore!! lol

I think i am becoming a secondary Bostonian, i watch Cheers i follow the Sox, yeyyyyy down with England!!! lol

Does anyone play NHL on 360 btw?? You should if you don't!! NHL has always been great to play, especially when the fighting begins!!! lol

I only follow the NHL on a very basic level during the regular season, but i really watch it during the playoffs. It's hard to follow a sport when you don't know all the rules (like me for hockey) haha. the playoffs are really good this year so far and the bruins swept the first round!!!

yes i do believe you are becoming a secondary bostonian haha. it's because boston is the home of champions and our teams are always so exciting to watch (yes the Revs did just lose 4-0 last night, but who cares? haha)
