What do you lot reckon? Is he good enough to earn an England spot? His opening day hat trick was impressive and he's no stranger to scoring.

Definitely, Agbonalhor should be a regular in the England team let alone just be called up. His hat-trick on Sunday was superb and I feel he will be there or there abouts in the race for the Premier League golden boot.

Just got back from England U'21's vs Slovenia and was really disapointed Agbonglahor didn't get on. Wasn't impressed with Derbyshire at all, who took his place.

Good to see Fraizer again though!

He should definitely play, its actually dissappointing that someone can play so well and not get picked. He's probably our best striker at the moment.

Whilst on the subject, should play Young as well

Yes, I think today was an indication that changes need to be made.

Young over Downing any day of the week.

And i think Agbonglahor is alot more clinical the Defoe?

Young- Definately
Agbonlahor- i would like to see him get a fair chance, instead of monkeys like Heskey getting more chances
Being a Rover i would like to see Derbyshire get a chance, when he plays well he plays well, but when he plays bad he is bad, could it be any worse than the current team though??
Ashton- would like to see him get a fair chance too instead of 10 minutes here and there

Problem with ashton is he'll inevitably get injured and not be available. Derbyshire has done nothing to justify a call up.

That is true but what has Defoe/Heskey/Jenas etc done to earn a call up?

Nothing, just like Beckham, but I would certainly say that all (except for Heskey) are better players then Derbyshire

I really rate Kevin Davies. ( I know, i get shot down every time i suggest it!)

But he's so underrated, He wins every header, and really grafts. With the right service he will be deadly.

He'll never get a chance though because he's what you call an unfashionable player!

Agree he's a good player, and agree he'll never get his chance. He's a lot like Kuyt really, work hard but just don't score enough, albeit Davies is a lot better of a finisher then Kuyt
