Usain Bolt Empty Usain Bolt

The guy just utterly amazes me. I just saw the video of his 200m record breaking victory, and it's amazing. Even better than his 100m victory.

As good as his 200 was, i don't think anything in my mind will live up to his 100m. To pull up with 15m left and still smash the world record was astounding.
All being said, what a true legend and his records will stand for centuries to come.

See, that's the thing...it amazed me that he ran that 100m so fast. But the average of his two 100m times in the 200m is even faster than the world record he made in the 100m! So in the longer race he actually ran the 100m twice...each time faster!

But then so did Michael Johnson in 96, he only beat his time by hundreths of a second. In the 100 he completely rewrote what people thought was possible. Next Olympics he'll prob go all out for it and get 9.55 or something completely rediculous.

But statistics mean nothing compared to actual performances, alot of swimming is the same, involves the same muscles etc, therefore its easier for swimmers to race in multiple events. Sprinters can only go for 2/3 medals so its harder for them. To win each race as comfortably as he did was amazing.

You gotta give props to Phelps especially since in a few of his events he had to rely on his teammates to bring home the medal for him. But, Bolt is just absurd. He has so much time to celebrate during the actual race that i can only imagine how low the world records for those 2 races will actual go in the near future.

That's the amazing part about Usain Bolt...those records were never meant to be broken. When Michael Johnson set them, people said it would never be broken. Swimming records are pretty much meaningless as they get broken just about every race.

He is very fast. I didn't think it was humanly possible to be able to run that fast.

Think if Asafa Powell had run as quick as he did in that in the 100m final though he could have pushed Bolt, easily would have taken 2nd.

I love how during the 4x100 Bolt kept chasing after Powell once he handed the stick off. He just couldn't contain himself. Three gold medals out of three...fantastic.

Lots of people in the media are speculating he's on drugs, though. I sure hope this isn't the case, but Jamaica doesn't test. We'll find out the results of his Olympic test in the coming weeks.
