Yet another boring match from England. Not much to excite the fans here...

Why does Fabio Capello seem to be repeating England's previous mistakes? I thought he'd prove a point about the team entering a new stage by giving the captaincy to Rio...but by giving it back to Terry it pretty much shows that it's the same situation, different manager.

The problem i see is....Sven had a good team together and was a good manager, in came Mclown changed the team round, found a team that couldn't work together, in comes Capello doesn't make the team his own, picks the same players who are proven they can't work together, he should have used tonight as a total experiment game, have Ashton/Agbonlahor/Young/Bentley etc playing

I saw no reason at all for Beckham to play, he will be far too old when the world cup get's here, so why was he on the pitch at all, and even though he only played around 10 minutes, Bentley was far superior in that little time.

Couldn't agree more.

Also, why would you play Gerrard out of his normal position, he in my, probably biased (but not from what i've heard others say), opinion is one of out best players and is certainly better then Lamps. Barry should be a cert for the side.

Biggest problem for Gerrard is he is being played out of position by some way and it makes him look poor in the process, ok Downing isn't the best player we have ever seen but instead of the starting line up, we would have been better with Gerrard in the centre instead of Lamps and have Downing on the left wing which is his natural positiong, both of them in their natural positions had to be better than what we saw tonight!

Am I the only one that can't stand the likes of Gareth Barry in the side? Give me someone with more technical ability (step up, Mr. Carrick). Yes, I know Carrick is hurt right now, but this seems to have become the norm.

I'm on the wall with Barry he's not bad but i don't think he's all that either, i don't think he is worth all the chasing Pool are putting in for him, or were, who knows!?

Nah i think Barry is definitely worth his place.. don't think he's as good as Alonso though for Liverpool

I definitely agree with that. Xabi Alonso has always proved himself for Pool and he did so once again. When he came in you saw that Liverpool's possessions were much more meaningful. His passing is comparable to Carrick's.

Carrick can only make 2m obvious passes

And the prices were extortionate!

Its getting beyond a joke. By far the best domestic league in the world.
