Spurs in crisis? Empty Spurs in crisis?

Post by Joe Mon Aug 25, 2008 1:01 pm

Just been listening on TalkSport radio station and an interesting topic raised amongst Spurs fans whether their club was in crisis.

Without a point on the ball, upset in the camp, Berba on his way and fans demanding success, Spurs seem to be in trouble.

I think it all comes down to Juande Ramos. How quick can he turn the fortunes of the club around? Martin Jol couldn't, which cost him his job. I am not for one minute suggesting the Spaniards job is at risk, but he needs to act quickly by bringing in a striker to prevent yet another season of under achievement and mediocrity from the Yids.

So no, i don't think they are in crisis yet, But if this is the same story come the end of september, Spurs need to start worrying.

Still, plenty of time yet.

Haha, Faraaz would never admit that Arsenal are in crisis.

As far as Spurs, if they just let Berba go when it was clear he wanted to leave in the summer then they would have moved on by now.

They should of nipped the situation in the bud, and maybe they'd of got off to a decent start.

They look pretty much doomed to me, i could be wrong but it's looking more like doom for Ramos than sunshine and rainbows.

Of course Spurs are in crisis. They always are, their fans expect greatness and are unwilling to be patient and wait to see what will happen.

Well, it looks like Spurs have finally got their Russian - although it's Pavlyuchenko and not Arshavin. Berba to United finally?

He did look good at the Euro's (pavlyuchenko) BUT my biggest problem with him was he had great movement etc got himself in some fine opportunities but he missed an awful lot of sitters, guess spurs are desperate coming to the end of the window to transfer in a "named" forward

Yeh surprised they went for him in the end. I'd of thought that if you couldn't get Arshavin the next best would be Pogrebnyak? Pavlyuchenko can be very hit and miss in my opinion.
