Gerrard groin operation

So Gerrard is going to have an operation on his groin, and according to an espn article anyway, Benitez is quoted: "He has a groin problem so he will have an operation and could be out for 10 to 15 days. It is not serious but we need to do it now."

What kind of surgery can leave you recovered in 15 days? This isnt exactly getting stitches, this is a muscle operation. It could bother him for much longer than 15 days even if he is back playing by then. Maybe Liverpool aren't so well off afterall. At least they'll have Mascherano back this weekend.

Think they have waited until Mascherano is back to do the surgery. But it does mean that he will miss the important world cup qualifiers.

Could spell trouble for pool, they have been very poor in their last few games, without Gerrard which way can it go? I hope it doesn't though as i have a bet on with a friend that pool are gonna win the league this season!!

Misses the first two england qualifiers i think.
