Massive Win Empty Massive Win

Well Rovers were the early kick off team against Spurs and came out eventual 2-1 winners, Keane scored an early penalty for the visitors, which wasn't really a penalty, a claim for handball against Givet but he was moving out the way, anyway second half saw Palacios sent off for 2 quickfire bookings, almost straight away McCarthy scored to bring it level and just before extra time, Warnock had a cracking shot saved, the corner resulted in an open goal for unlikely hero Ooijer to take a 2-1 victory! Great result for us and moves us that little bit closer to safety!

Yeh good result, definitely didn't deserve to be 1 - 0 down it wasn't a penalty as all, if anything Blackburn should have had a penalty before that. Didn't see the sending off, but spurs don't seem to be happy with it?

I think it was harsh the sending off, 2 quick fire yellows, the first was a definate yellow, the second is debatable, it maybe was a tame yellow, but to get him sent off was maybe a tad too much, i think it was more a case of he was just warned to calm down and he didn't, funniest part of the game was half-time, Big Sam took Jason Roberts off put in Ooijer and put Samba upfront!!!! lol worked as well he set up the first goal, did a really good Heskey style hold up job!

How about your Rovers again today Blackburnbob? Extremely important win for them. No relegation for them. They mean business!

Yeah good result today, didn't see the match so can't comment overall, from the snippits i've read though it seem's McCarthy was on good form. Not safe yet but a huge step, Wigan seem to have a half decent team, so we are definately stepping up a little, hopefully with some summer dealing we can be a top 10 team again!
