Owen> United
It looks like it is gonna happen. Michael Owen is poised to move to Manchester United on a free transfer later today provided he passes a medical that is being described as 'stringent'. Wow. Did you see this one coming?

Re: Owen> United
He's at Ot atm undergoing his medical.........good move?? Shows signs of desperation to me, but who knows maybe MO can become EMO again at OT?

Re: Owen> United
Fantastic move in my eyes. Rooney and Owen teamed up again, Owen is available for FREE, and he's not quite past it yet. He's only 29 remember!
He'll surprise MANY people and will come out on top.

Re: Owen> United
I'm very dubious, he's been out of it for so long and he's injury prone like crazy now, i can see him maybe having a couple of good games but not being a major part of the overall season, as i said before i think he would have been better at a mid-table team, he's gonna look outclassed at the likes of United Pool etc
I don't think anyone will be worried by his arrival (if he passes medical!) he will surely upset a few scousers though as did Rooney!
Will be good for the international team though if he finds a bit of form again!

Re: Owen> United
Appologies to Phil Brown.
This is a heck of a move. I'm glad Man Utd didn't get Benzema, because all they need is another veteran to keep the seat warm until Welbeck and Macheda are ready to play full time. Plus, it's an oppurtunity to build yet more squad depth, at a great price. And finally, I'm glad someone made a surprising move to steal a few headlines away from the most annoying club in the world that I will not name.
