Barton awarded second chance
Full Story Here
He was one of my favorite players in the league before he went a bit mental, hopefully he'll calm down and maybe push for an England call up again.

Re: Barton awarded second chance
When Barton was leaving City I thought he'd go to a bigger side. Under the right manager he could have been something special. He has the tenacity of a Roy Keane-type player.
Re: Barton awarded second chance
I still think he can be something special.
Not sure if Newcastle is the club he needs to be at to achieve that height though.

Re: Barton awarded second chance
It looks like Newcastle fans don't want him back, either. It'll be too hard for Barton to overcome all of this, he needs a new club and fast. One of the newly promoted clubs should take a chance on him.
Re: Barton awarded second chance
We were linked with him.
But then again we were linked with everyone!

Re: Barton awarded second chance
Nike just cancelled his £40,000 per season Boot deal . . . GOOD!
I hate his guts and Newcastle United should have sacked him the day he got sent to Prison.

Re: Barton awarded second chance
David, as a Newcastle fan would you mind seeing him leave the club for nothing? Or would you still expect the club to get a transfer fee for him?
Re: Barton awarded second chance
I would be in two minds if he came to Hull.
I seriously think he would put other players off joining us.

Re: Barton awarded second chance
I would be happy to see him leave for nothing, all fellow Newcastle United fans I talk to (and that is a lot) want him out . . . . nevermind Keegan saying he deserves a 2nd chance, he has had lots of 2nd chances.Brian wrote:David, as a Newcastle fan would you mind seeing him leave the club for nothing? The last news I heard is that it is looking like the FA are to ban him for the 1st 15 games of the season.
