Another horrible display by Liverpool is glossed over by a 1 goal victory. Great job, Liverpool, you really look like title contenders...

Every game so far they have looked appauling but as the quote says "if you can win when your playing badly....." Kuyt was a usual work horse but the rest of the team look very average

Very funny, jumping on the bandwagon of "kuyt doesn't score alot". The fact is that he scores when its necessary, and many crucial games he has come up with the goods.

Thought Liverpool looked better when El Zhar and Babel came on the pitch. Hope they feature more this season. But as usual the two full backs aren't good enough and too easily expliotable. And of course lacking width in midfield, but thats plainly obvious.

I'd like to point out here my preseason pick for surprise player of the year: DIRK KUYT kicking it off in style, albeit in Champions League qualifiers. He is the man.

One other thing: Liverpool still did not have Mascherano in this game. I'll hold off my final judgement until he's playing again. But ultimately it's all about getting the result anyway, so once again Liverpool fans should be content.
