Kaka to Man City?
Well it looks like AC Milan is really having a tough time deciding over the reported £107m bid from City for Kaka. Will they bite?
What does everybody else think?
I think the bid will definitely be accepted, but of course it will all depend on whether or not Kaka actually leaves.
RIDICULOUS amount of money though!

Re: Kaka to Man City?
The bid has been accepted, it's just up to Kaka now. No player in the world is worth that much, and AC Milan knows it. They can completely restructure their team with that money.
Re: Kaka to Man City?
how much do you think ronaldo and messi are worth each? just curious...i don't have a number in my head
Re: Kaka to Man City?
I agree, no player is worth that type of money, especially given the current credit market.
Great buy for City when ignoring the cost of the transfer.

Re: Kaka to Man City?
I agree with everyone above...Man City are really getting ridiculous now...with that 107 million pounds, they themselves can restructure their team and bring in the players Hughes himself identified (Parker, Santa Cruz, Upson) for MUCH, MUCH CHEAPER. I don't get this Man City revolution as a theme...honestly, I had nothing against the Robinho move because at that time Robinho was stranded and it was good for everyone involved...but City just can't spend more than thrice that amount on just one player...give me a break!

Re: Kaka to Man City?
Part of me thinks that the City owners know Kaka isn't worth that much...but it could be the only way they can get other big players to join the club. Maybe it's a signal of intent more than anything?
Re: Kaka to Man City?
Isn't this just a case of rich owners coming in and treating the club basically like an expensive toy? And like, they want to buy the shiniest accessory they can? My point is, they don't even need Kaka. They've already got three explosive midfielders in Robinho, Ireland, and Wright-Phillips. Why is the first item on their list another one? What about a defender? It's just a case of a group of owners coming in who have more money than they know what to do with and no knowledge of how to run a football club.

Sorry I can't reply to that post...I can't get over the fact you are even thinking about comparing SWP and Stephen Ireland to Kaka.
There's more to football than numbers - you cannot deny Kaka is a vast improvement over ANYONE City has, and for that matter he is a vast improvement over ANY central midfielder in the WORLD. Who WOULDN'T want him?
City is just catching flak for the amount of money they are spending. And, let's face it, they need to spend that much.

Re: Kaka to Man City?
As a City fan myself, I must say I am over the moon to see Kaka arriving at Eastlands (well hopefully arriving!)
There is no doubt he is one of the best players in the world and he would no doubt help City in their bid to become the greatest team on the planet.
I must admit, I feel the sums of money is question are ridiculous, but hey, it's about time we (City) had something go are way!

Re: Kaka to Man City?
Surely £107m cannot be turned down, that is a ridiculous amount of money for any player, ok this game is football but any team in the world offered £107m for one player are surely gonna see the business end of the deal rather than the football end of the deal. Bad news for me, prices are going to start going up even more, as said above if £14m is good for Bellamy what is a class striker going to fetch in comparison?

Re: Kaka to Man City?
The move is no more...it's official. Kaka still belongs to AC Milan. I guess he's not so money hungry after all. Milan fans should be grateful for what he just did for his team.
Re: Kaka to Man City?
Newspapers such as The Daily Mail report that Robinho has left the club in a fit of rage and is flying back to Brazil. The plot thickens...
Re: Kaka to Man City?
Is anyone happy that Kaka did not come to the Prem? I am. As much as i would love for him to play for the league (especially for the gunners), that ridiculous transfer fee would of really screwed up the inflation.

Re: Kaka to Man City?
I am too. I like AC Milan more than I like Manchester City. Plus I'm glad that the City owners can't just throw tons of money at players to get them. This just shows that there are still some players out there who feel loyalty to their teams and don't care only about money.

Re: Kaka to Man City?
I actually am very disappointed he's not coming to the Prem. I'd love to see the other "best player in the world" in action against the world's greatest teams. And, I think the extravagant fee would go a long way towards spicing the transfer window up.
Re: Kaka to Man City?
£10 says Messi is the next target then! lol Apprently Valenica have turned down offers for Villa and Silva, also Juve turned down a bid for Buffon, this is becoming a huge joke now
