There are not many major matches happening at the top of the table this weekend, but what matches are you looking forward to?

The one match that will be a battle at the top is Aston Villa v. Everton. That should be a fantastic match since Villa is only 1 point up on Everton for the 5th spot. This match is going to be more like a boxing match on Sunday.

Manchester City v. Fulham should also be a good match even though Fulham is horrible on the road.

Not many exciting Saturday matches though.

"Relegation Matches" include:
Boro v. Hull
Pompey v. West Brom
Stoke v. Newcastle

thoughts?

Sunderland - Man U
Liverpool - Blackburn
Chelsea - Bolton

These aren't major matches? Man U have what could be quite a tricky away match at Sunderland, with Utd so out of form recently they need a good confidence booster before their important CL match in the week.

After Liverpool's terrible showing the week they need to respond well, a loss here would ruin any title ambition. And Chelsea, still claim to be in the title race, big confidence booster in the week. Need a win here, but more importantly will be hoping Pool or Utd slip up, they are still a long way back in the race.

I was reffering to big relegation matches only, Pool vs Rovers neevr counted as that was over before it kicked off, Chelsea Bolton not big match, i would say Bolton are Safe and Chelsea ain't gonna win the title anymore, Sunderland Man u was a large match until those dirty jammy mancs did it again, even though they were the worse team, meh makes me sick, they could put sprinkles on s**t and make it taste like chocolate!

I have to agree with everything you said there. Before the Pool game though i thought you'd give 'em a run for their moneys...And good lord i hate United, lucky sods.

I think we could have done alright but there is so many injury's for us we had a second rate team out, never stood a chance, no excuses though, dull match but Pool deservedly won, Torres' first goal was exceptional!

We had Andrews and a 40 yr old in midfield and a defender up front, grrr i could whack Sam for loaning out Derbyshire the moron, even more puzzled why Samba was up frotn and McCarthy was on the bench?!

Samba played pretty well all being said. He was one of the better players on the pitch, certainly the best Blackburn player. It seemed like he was the only one that actually wanted to put up a fight.

Right now the only players to me who seem to have fight in them is as you say Samba, Warnock and suprisingly Andrews. Samba does alright holding up like Heskey but let's be honest he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a shot, i have a better shot than him lol But my point against Sam is this, if your gonna put Samba up front to hold up play, don't you need another forward to come up and collect and have a shot, in the case of the game vs Liverpool our only fit striker was on the bench :S
